GUIDELINES FOR NOMINATION/SELECTION OF INDIVIDUAL ACADEMIC ALL-STATE AWARDS
ALL NOMINATIONS WILL BE DONE ONLINE. A GOOGLE FORM WILL BE SENT TO EVERY HEAD COACH TO BE FILLED OUT IN ITS ENTIRETY AND SUBMITTED. YOU MAY FILL OUT THE FORM MORE THAN ONCE TO ACCOMMODATE MULTIPLE NOMINATIONS (SEE THE INFO BELOW). A TRANSCRIPT FOR EACH NOMINEE MUST BE EMAILED OR SENT TO AL BOYDSTON AT THE ADDRESS(ES) BELOW. THE DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION IS OCTOBER 31! (THIS IS A HARD DEADLINE)

In order to be nominated for the Individual Academic All-State Award:
-
The player must be a SENIOR.

The player must be a contributing member of the varsity football team his senior year.

The player must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale.

The player must have a minimum composite score of 25 on the ACT, or 1200 on SAT.

**AN UNLIMITED NUMBER OF SENIORS may be nominated by each school.
The player’s head coach must be a current member of the MHSFCA (either attended the clinic last January or paid dues for this year). A current membership list and application is available at www.mhsfca.com.
The player will be selected to the Individual Academic All-State Team using the following criteria:
a. Up to 100 points awarded for cumulative GPA (unweighted or weighted, 4.0 cap)
b. Up to 100 points awarded for ACT / SAT.
THE DEADLINE FOR NOMINATIONS IS OCTOBER 31.
The top 22 in each group of D1-D2, D3-D4, D5-D6, D7-D8 and the top 8 from the 8-man Divisions (one group) will be named to the First Team Academic All-State Squad for their respective group. All others meeting the minimum nomination requirements will be Honorable Mention.
