MICK ENDERS OF PORTAGE CENTRAL HIGH SCHOOL NAMED THE DETROIT LIONS HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL COACH OF THE WEEK-WEEK #3, PRESENTED BY CARHARTT

Detroit, MI—The Detroit Lions have named Mick Enders of Portage Central High School the week three recipient of the 2025 Detroit Lions High School Football Coach of the Week Program, presented by Carhartt.  Enders’ Mustangs defeated Stevensville Lakeshore 57-0 to move to 3-0 this season.  In three games, Portage Central has scored 143 points while giving up none.  Portage Central is currently ranked #3 in Division 2.  On Friday, September 19th, Portage Central goes on the road to take on Battle Creek Central in the 37th matchup all-time between these two programs.   

Enders is in his 26th season coaching high school football, all at Portage Central, while currently in his 16th season as head coach.  He has led the Mustangs to the playoffs in 13 seasons, reaching the semifinals in 2013 and the regional finals in both 2021 & 2024.  He has a career record of 109-49 (69.0%) overall.
