Xavier started his football career for his neighborhood team, the Eastside Cowboys, at the age of nine. While at Harper Woods HS, he played varsity for two years. In his sophomore year he and started at defensive end and in his senior year he started at both tight end and defensive end. During his senior year he was selected All State and All East First Team by the Detroit News and Conference MVP and captain. He ended his senior year with nine sacks, 41 solo’s, 30 assists, and had six touchdowns, seventeen receptions and 516 receiving yards. Xavier was a major part in his team’s 2006 season, helping them to a berth in the state playoffs for the first time in five years.

Xavier also participated in basketball as a four-year varsity player and participated one year in track. He was ranked number nine in the state for combo guards. During his four years as a varsity basketball player, he was a part of three district titles and was a three-year starter.

Xavier thanked, “God for all the blessing he has given me and my family and friends for all their support.” He also thanked his father, Uncle Darin Fowler, Grandmother Edith Fowler and his coaches, “for pushing him to be the best on the field and off the field.”

Xavier will continue his education and football career at Howard University on a football scholarship.
