According to coach Donshell English, “William Sturges had an outstanding season in 2008. Despite his size (5’8″) he was the best player on the field every week. He led Southeastern High School to a 10 and 2 record. That was a record season for the Southeastern Football team. His stats were amazing. As a receiver he caught 67 balls for 1259 yards, an 18.8 average, and 10 touchdowns. As a quarterback, he threw for 370 yards, a 16.1 average, with 3 touchdowns, and rushed for 308 yards, a 10.3 average, with 4 touchdowns. He made the Dream Team All-State Team as a senior and is excited about playing at the next level.”
William thanked the MHSAA for the opportunity to play in this All-Star game. He also thanked his mom, Therese Sturges, for, “believing in me and always being supportive.”
