Travis Steinbrecher

Defensive Back

Travis was a four-year starter on the Nordic Varsity Football team. His freshman year, he started as the varsity quarterback. That year the Nordics had an 8-2 record and won the Wolverine Conference Title. His sophomore year the Nordics were 12-1, Wolverine Conference, district and regional champions. The following year the Nordics were 11-1. They again won the Wolverine Conference title and were district champions. His junior year Travis was team offensive MVP and Wolverine Conference first team quarterback. Travis’s senior year he was the team captain, team MVP, and Wolverine Conference first team defensive back. He played five different positions, offensively and defensively during his final football season.

 

Although Travis’s favorite sport is football, he lettered all four years in basketball and track. He was a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athlete’s and National Honor Society. Travis maintained a gpa of 3.76 and was on the honor roll throughout his high school years. He coached elementary boy’s basketball all through high school. He enjoys hunting, fishing, and spending time with family, friends, and his dog Gauge, a Chesapeake Bay retriever.

 

Travis thanked his family and friends for their, “constant support and encouragement throughout everything I was involved in. My coaches and teammates who helped me grow as an athlete and a person. Without the support of all of these people I would not be where I am today. I am very blessed and thankful for all of the opportunities I have been given.”
