Travis started football in fourth grade when “my Dad introduced me to the sport.” In middle school he developed a real liking for football when “I started to play harder to be like my older brother.” As a sophomore he was the third string running back but “I worked my way up by running a 60 yard touchdown on my very first varsity football carry.” He also played defensive back and had his first interception in that first game. For his career, Travis had 501 carries, gained 3740 rushing yards and scored 43 TD’s. He had 5074 all purpose yards and 52 total touch downs. On the defensive side of the ball, Travis made 116 tackles, with 8 interceptions.

Travis played basketball for three years starting at point guard for two years. He didn’t play as a senior year because of a football related injury. He “used three of my spring seasons to lift and get stronger but I ran track to get ready for college my senior year.” Travis was a D.A.R.E role model, a member of S.A.D.D, and tutored middle school kids for the past two years in math and science.

He gave “a big thank you to all of the people who helped me raise money for this game, to my parents for pushing me all this way, to my older brothers for roughing me up and making me stronger, to my younger brothers for teaching me responsibility, to all of my friends that have supported me, to all of my coaches, and to my teammates for all the great memories.”
