1987 Jim Crowley Award Winner
Tom Fagan, Ypsilanti Named 1987 Jim Crowley Award Winner
By Larry Sellers, Crowley Award Chair, Traverse City St. Francis
The Jim Crowley Award is dedicated to the memory of the late Jim Crowley, former coach at Jackson Lumen Christi High School, a great coach, and a dedicated family man. The award honors individuals who have made special contributions to the game of football and to the MHSFCA. It is the most prestigious award presented by our association.
An organizing member of the MHSFCA, Tom Fagan served as the association’s president in 1982 and as the first Hall of Fame Chair was responsible for initiating the induction banquet that became one of the association’s annual highlights.
With head coaching stops in Clinton, Tecumseh, West Bloomfield, Ann Arbor Huron and Ypsilanti, Fagan was successful at each school.
