Assistant Coach Tom Garrett
Plymouth Salem High School
Tom gradulated from Livonia Bentley High School in 1968 where he played football, wrestled and ran track. He lettered four years while attending Central Michigan University on a football scholarship. Tom’s MA is from Eastern Michigan University.
Coach Garrett began his teaching carrer at Plymouth Canton in 1973 where he taught elementary physical education and coached middle school football. He coached Canton’s varsity team the following three years then moved across campus to coach at Plymouth Salem wher he has coached for 28 years. Tom was selected as an Assistant Coach of the Year and in 2003 was inducted in the MHSFCA Hall of Fame.
Tom said, “I have been fortunate to work with many great football coaches over the years.” I am honored to coach in this game and represent the Salem coaching staff. A special thanks to Jim Jarvey for helping me get my career started.”Tom has three daughters, Krista, Kayla and Alex.
