Thaddeus started playing in the Detroit Police Athletic League. He played two years on the D team, one on the C team and one on the B team. He didn’t play his ninth grade year but started in his sophomore year on the junior varsity followed by two years on the varsity team. Thaddeus was injured in his junior year, which accounted for a lack of playing time. He played linebacker in his senior year.
Thaddeus was recruited by Bowling Green, The University of Toledo, Missouri, Eastern Michigan University and others. He will attend Northwood University where he has a football scholarship.
