He has been an outstanding athlete from the age of five years old when he started playing basketball, football and baseball and never stopped. According to the local newspaper, “Tackett is a natural born leader.” Ted’s High School accomplishments include leading the football team as quarterback to the district championship in 2004 while recording an undefeated league season. He rushed for 1,146 yards, passed for 960 yards and had a total of 15 touchdowns.

 

Ted also started four years on the varsity basketball team and broke the all-time leading scoring record with over 1,300 points. In his junior and senior years the team was undefeated in league play and won a district title in 2005. In 2005, the team broke the school record by having 23 consecutive wins in one season.

 

Complimenting numerous athletic awards, Ted maintained a 3.95 gpa. Ted’s coaches said, “You never hear him cuss. He just exudes leadership. He believes strongly in his faith in Jesus Christ.”

Ted thanked, “God first and foremost for all the blessings that I have received. He also thanked, “everyone who has supported me during my high school career.”
