Steven began his football career in fifth grade at Monroe St. Michael’s and was moved up to the 7th/8th grade team. The following two years he chose to play soccer and returned to football in the 8th grade where his team won the CYO Championship. Steven fell in love with football and the weight room. Steven is a three-year varsity letter winner and was named co-captain of the 2003 team that made it to the Division 6 state semifinals. Steven played right guard on a ground attack that set the region rushing record and broke the school scoring record (including previous state champion teams) by over 100 points. Steven has accepted a football scholarship to attend Saginaw Valley State University and looks forward to the continued success of the Cardinal football program.

Steven was a three-year varsity letter winner in track, where he competed in the shot put and discus. In 2002 Steven was a state qualifier in the shot put and most valuable field athlete. As of this writing, prior to the start of the 2003 track season, Steven was inches away from the school shot put record.

Steven thanked his parents and family for their love and continued support. A special thanks was given to St. Mary Catholic Central head coach Jack Giarmo, Coach Clawson, Coach Pizzo and the rest of the SMCC football staff and families.
