Stephen has played football since the seventh grade. His last two on varsity. He was captain and was second on the team in tackles. Stephen also won the “Pride” award, which was voted on by the coaches. He started both ways his senior year and received player of the game twice in his senior year. He also won two “Hit of the Week” awards.
Stephen was a member of the National Honor Society and earned a 3.4 gpa. He was on the varsity track team the last four years and made the state meet the last two years (“At the time this was written, hopefully three by now.”). Stephen set the school discus record as a junior and was aiming for the shot put record as a senior. Stephen was also the captain of the track team.
Stephen said, “I thank God for the talent he has given me, my family for always supporting me in whatever I do, the teachers, my friends from school, and my girlfriend for keeping me in line and going to my games. Finally, I thank the entire coaching staff for always pushing me to be one step higher than I was.”
