He said of his experience, “I was the little six-year-old playing with the eight-year-olds, so I learned quickly to be tough.” After playing Pop Warner football for four years in Delta County, Simeon’s family moved to Kalamazoo. He played football, basketball, and ran track at Linden Grove Middle School, and achieved a 10-2 football record, a basketball championship, and six school records in track and field.

After a dismal freshman year at Kalamazoo Central High School, Simeon earned All Conference Honors in his sophomore year as a varsity defensive back, totaling 6 interceptions and 55 tackles. After the strong sophomore football season, his family moved again and he transferred to Loy Norrix High School. In his junior year at Loy Norrix he was a team captain, a two-way starter on varsity, and he earned All Conference Honors as a wide receiver.

During his senior year, Simeon was a team captain and two-way starter again. He also earned All Conference honors at wide receiver. He was elected to the Elite Sports Network Dream Team, made the Kalamazoo Gazette Dream Team at wide receiver, and was honored as a Blue Grey All American wide receiver. In the fall, Simeon will continue his football career at The University of Michigan.

Simeon was a member of the Loy Norrix Book Quiz Bowl Team, and held a 4.03 GPA throughout high school. He plans to pursue an aerospace engineering degree at The University of Michigan. Simeon said, “I thank my dad for teaching me all that he knew, the entire Loy Norrix Coaching staff for pushing me to be the best athlete and person that I could be, and my teammates for all of the good times.”
