Ryan is the son of Jon and Raye Marie Hankins. He has a younger brother Chad.
Ryan started his football career in the Barry Stokes Youth Football League in fourth grade. He was a three-year starter on the varsity team. His sophomore year he played on the offensive line. That year his team went to the state semi-finals. His junior and senior years he played on the defensive and offensive lines. His senior year he won two team awards, Thunder and Lightning and Defensive Lineman of the Year. Ryan also played varsity lacrosse for three years. He wrestled his senior year and became a state qualifier. Ryan will attend Wayne State University on an athletic scholarship.
Ryan said, “I want to thank my parents, the Davison Football Boosters, the coaches, all the parents that have supported me, and Stacey our athletic trainer who has helped me through the years. I would especially like to thank all my grandparents for all their support.”
