Ricky has played football “for most of my life.” Although his football experience started the day he was brought home from the hospital as a baby and lay next to his dad watching Monday Night Football. In flag football Rickey’s dad was the head coach and they won the flag football championship. After one year of flag football,Ricky went into the Eastern Suburban Football League (ESFL). He played there until high school. About which he said, “These years have been the best four years of my life.” I was named one of the captains was named MVP, won the Cracked Helmet award and the Defensive Player of the Year award. Ricky was offered a scholar ship to play at Grand Valley State University.

“There are two people in my life that have made this all possible for me. They have always been there for me through it all including the two-a-days, all the early morning practices, the blistering summer heat, and the pouring rain. Those two people have been my loving parents, Rick and Stacey.” He said, “I don’t think I could put it in words to describe how much they mean to me, and how much I thank them for always being there for me through everything.” Ricky also thanked “all my coaches from flag football, the ESFL, and high school! They have taught me a lot over the years and I appreciate everything.”
