 Paul was a three-year starter and two-time captain. Paul has the distinction of being captain of the last Royal Oak Kimball Knights football team and the captain of the first Royal Oak High School Ravens football team. Paul played guard and defensive tackle all three years. His teams qualified for the playoffs his junior and senior years. Paul is proud of the league title the team won his senior year. He started his football career with the Royal Oak Chiefs in fourth grade. Paul has earned several Junk Yard Dog, Most Valuable Player, Lineman of the Year, and Special Teams Player of the Year awards. Paul was named an Old Spice Red Zone Player for his play as a senior.

Paul also lettered four times in wrestling and was captain of the team as a senior. He recorded over 100 career wins and is the reigning Oakland County Champion and two-time League Champion. Paul placed fifth in the State Wrestling Tournament as a senior. Paul has lettered in track three times and was a two-year captain. He is the defending two-time shot put league champion was the top points winner for the track team in his sophomore and junior seasons. A ten-time varsity letter winner and five-time captain Paul was voted Most Athletic by the senior class. Paul was a member of the National Honor Society, the Varsity Club, the S.A.D.D. Club and the Mentor/Mentee program.

Paul thanked everyone who supported him throughout the years, especially his parents and entire family. Paul thanked his friends, “Alan, A. Schmebbs, T. I. and everyone at school.” He said, “I have always been inspired by my mom, Coach Farley, and Dan Creswell. He thanked all of his coaches who have helped him grow athletically as well as into a young man over the years from the Chiefs to the Ravens. He gave credit to all the people,” that have seen my potential and helped me reach it.”
