Mike Manoogian

Guard

College: Northwood University

 

Mike started playing football his freshman year. He played two games with the freshman squad, and was then moved up to junior varsity. As a sophomore, Mike was moved up to varsity, and started at offensive tackle for the next three years. Mike was an assistant captain during his junior year and a captain during his senior year. In the summers before his junior and senior year, Mike was a stand out at the University of Michigan football camp. In his senior year, he led the Churchill Chargers to their first playoff appearance in 25 years, and to their first ever district championship.

 

Mike played basketball for the chargers his freshman year, and threw shot put, and discus his sophomore year. He has been named a “Scholar Athlete” for the past three years, and is currently a member of BPA (Business Professionals of America).

 

Mike thanked his family, for their never-ending support, and encouragement throughout the years. He also thanked all his teammates for all the good times they have spent together, and all the good memories. He said, “A special thanks to Coach Filiatraut and Coach Fryer. They have been a big influence in making me into the player, and person I am today!”
