Michael was a two year starter for the Battle Creek Central varsity football team. He was the starting defensive back in 2002, and in the 2003 season he started as a defensive back and running back. In his senior year he was a captain on the football team. Michael helped his team to a conference championship and to be district finalists in 2002. Michael was named as an All City and All Conference football player for two consecutive years. He will attend Saginaw Valley State University.
Michael thanked, “God, his parents, his entire family and his friends. A special thanks to the football coaching staff at Battle Creek Central, Coaches Slamer and Bess.” He also thanked Coaches Jones, Williams and Caper. Last, “but not least,” he thanked the whole Battle Creek Community for their support.
