Matt was a three year starter on the varsity football squad. As a sophomore, he played tight end and defensive end. As a junior and senior, he moved to offensive tackle and continued to play defensive end. His senior year he led the team in sacks and was a key blocker on a team which set the school’s rushing record. He led the Spartans to the Division I State Finals his senior year.

In addition to football, Matt also played basketball for two years and was a member of the track team for four years where he threw shot put and discus. In his high school career, he has been captain 6 times. Man maintains a 3.4 GPA.

Matt would like to thank his parents, siblings, and grandparents for their support and encouragement. He would also like to thank the Stevenson football coaches for the time they invested in the team, for their dedication and also for their high expectations. Special thanks to his head coach, Tim Gabel, for his leadership and support. He would also like to thank his teammates for giving him the best experience of his life.

Matt will continue his football career at Northwood University where he will double major in banking and finance.
