Luke Carlson
Outside Linebacker

Luke was a two-year starter for the Ishpeming Hernatites playing both sides of the ball at defensive end, right tackle, and also kicker. Luke was an All Conference 1st team Tackle, End, and Lineman of the Year in the Mid-Peninsula Conference. He was also an All U. P. Dream team lineman and All State first team lineman. Ishpeming went twice to the playoffs while Luke was there but was beaten in the first and second rounds. In two years Carlson helped Ishpeming to a 12-7 record and to record the fifth best defense of all time in the Mid-Peninsula Conference.
Luke was the co-captain of his basketball team. As a junior the Hematites were 19-2 and as a Senior, they were 9-3 at the time this was written.
Luke won a football scholarship from Northern Michigan University. He will major in construction management.
Luke said, “I am a dedicated Christian and attend church regularly at Good News Assembly of God. I give all the credit to God, and a special thanks to my Mother and Father.”
