Kyle has played football since he was four years old and his father has coached him “every step of the way”. Kyle said, “I have basically played every position on the field in my career from long snapper, kicker, receiver, tight end, running back, quarterback, punter, place holder, safety and inside and outside linebacker.” In his four years of high school football. His team never made it past the first round of the playoffs having lost to Cass Tech each time. He said, “My greatest accomplishments was being named All State by The Detroit Free Press and making the East Team for the All Star Game.
Kyle also played two other sports, wrestling, and baseball. He made it to the wrestling state tournament in both his junior year and senior years. Unfortunately losing in the “blood round” and placing ninth.
Kyle said, “I have to thank my Dad and Coach Barkley for making me the player I am today. Both of them pushed me and gave me the tools to be successful.” Kyle plans to study and play football at Olivet in the fall.
