Kyle was a four-year varsity starter as a defensive lineman. The “anchor of the defensive front” on a team that gave up an average of 111 yards rushing through ten games in the 2003 season. He finished his senior season with 58 tackles (10 solo), 10.5 sacks, caused three fumbles, recovered one and had one interception.

 

Kyle participated in three sports throughout his high school career. In addition to football he was a four-year varsity wrestler and placed three times in the individual state tournament, becoming the first Saline wrestler to earn this distinction. He also threw shot put on the track team for four years and discus for three years.

 

Kyle became the first male three-sport, 12-varsity letter winner in the history of Saline High School.

 

Kyle thanked everyone who supported him during his high school sports career. A “special thanks” was given to the Saline coaching staffs in football, wrestling and track.
