Juwan started playing football in the fourth grade for the Rocket Football League. In high school he played two years on junior varsity and two years on varsity. He played on both sides of the ball and served as captain his senior year for the Giants where he played running back, quarterback and wide receiver.
Juwan also enjoyed other sports throughout high school including basketball and track and field.
Juwan had, “a lot of people to thank. First, I thank God for blessing me with athleticism and good health. I thank my family and friends for supporting me at every game. My mother and sisters, grandmother, uncles, aunts, cousins and the Kalamazoo community were always there to cheer me on. A special thanks to the Kalamazoo Central coaching staff for showing us excellence, both on and off the field. I want to especially thank my teammates for an incredible four years of football. Thanks to the Kalamazoo Central Giants fans. It was easy playing our hearts out for the best fans ever.”
Juwan will continue his academic and football careers at Grand Rapids Community College. He plans to transfer to Western Michigan University.
