Dupree, Josh2008 All Star East

Although Josh played football starting in the second grade, his sophomore year he decided to support the football team from the stands and concentrate on basketball with the Ohio Ballers AAU traveling team. He quickly realized he wanted to continue playing football and was back on the team his junior and senior years. During his senior year, Josh broke school records including: single season touchdown receptions (9), single season receptions (44), single season receiving yards (770), career receptions (2006 and 2007 – 56), career receiving yards (2006 and 2007 – 1,060 yards), and most consecutive games played catching a TD pass (8). Joshua did all of this while playing in only seven games his senior year due to kidney stones.

Josh was also a four-year varsity basketball starter and earned All State, All Region, All TCC and Toledo Blade top 25 honors. Josh was also a member of the Whiteford track team that won the state title in 2007 and has earned All State honors in track. Josh holds school records in the 100 (10.7), 200 (22.5), high jump (6’5″), 4×400 relay and 4×800. In both relays he was the anchor and both were state qualifying relay teams.

Josh thanked his mom and teachers, Mrs. Jennifer Head and Mrs. Shannon Henry, “for all the support they have given me.”
