Coach Jon Herstein is a graduate of Fenton High School (2001), where he was an All State football player and captain. Jon also wrestled for Fenton and was a state champion heavy weight. 

Coach Herstein went on to Wayne State University, where he studied health and physical education. He played football for the Warriors and was a captain in 2004.  Coach Herstein earned both his BS in health education and MS in kinesiology from WSU.

Coach Herstein began his coaching career at Birmingham Seaholm (2005-06), coaching both football and wrestling. In 2007, Coach Herstein was hired to teach and coach for Farmington Public Schools. He currently serves as a district-wide Adapted Physical Education teacher. Coach Herstein has coached the offensive and defense linemen at Harrison since 2007, including the 2010 State Champion team.  He has also served as a wrestling, and track and field coach for the Hawks. 

Jon and his wife, Lauren, have lived in Farmington since 2008.
