Jimmy was a four-year varsity basketball player making All League three years and 1st Team All Conference in both 2006 and 2007. He was voted team captain for two years and as a senior was voted most valuable player. Jimmy was also awarded Defensive Player of the Year for three consecutive years.
Jimmy said, “I would like to especially thank my athletic director, Brandon Slone, for being a true “mentor” to me for my entire four years in high school.” He also thanked receiver coach, Ryan McCartney, for “teaching me great technique and having enormous confidence in my abilities.” Jimmy also thanked “my Father, Jim Saros, who has always been there for me. He always said all you should expect is ‘opportunity.’ What you do with that opportunity is totally up to you.” Jimmy said, “The opportunity to play football at Brown University in the Ivy League has been worth all of the hard work both on the football field and in the classroom.”
