Jeff Burnside lives in Royal Oak with Heather, his wife of six months. He graduated from Lapeer East High School in 1994. Jeff attended the University of Michigan where he graduated in 1999 with a Bachelors of Science in Education. In the fall of 2003, he finished his Masters in the Art of Teaching from Marygrove College.

Jeff has been teaching in the Novi Community Schools for the past six years and coached football for the last four years from freshmen level to varsity. He currently coaches the defensive line and running backs under head coach Tab Kellepourey while working alongside MHSAA Hall of Famer John Osborne. Jeff has been a part of the Novi Football Program’s successful trend over the past few years. The team has won two Kensington Valley Conference titles, three MHSAA District titles, and one MHSAA Regional title during Jeff’s short tenure as an assistant coach. “It was a little tough going from bleeding maize and blue to wearing green and white”, he said, “but my whole hearted efforts belong to the Wildcat’s now.”

Coach Burnside went on to say, “This is a great honor to be coaching in the Michigan High School All Star Game. Working with the best of the best this state has to offer will be an experience that I will cherish for a long time. Many thanks goes out to all that made this game possible 25 years ago. This is a wonderful way to showcase the great football that is played in this state. I’m just happy to be a part of it.”
