Jarred started to play football in the second grade and “you could tell from that point on he was a natural. He has a great nose for the football and plays the game with great passion!” He has never played on a losing team. As a sophomore at Chippewa Valley he led the team in tackles all the way to the regional finals. His senior season he tallied 177 tackles and led his team to the semi-finals only to lose to eventual state champs Dakota.
Jarred thanked his father and grand parents, “for their unconditional love and affection, his Aunt Cindy and Uncle Ray, the coaching staff at Cousino High School, and especially Mike Powell, Brad Netteles and Bud Doba.” He added, “I cannot forget to thank Kaye Powell for her cookies.” He also thanked all the Patriot fans, teachers and parents for their support.”
Jarred will continue his academic and athletic career at Adrian College on an academic scholarship. He plans to study to be a physical therapist.
