Jake Meissnest

Tackle

College: Saginaw Valley State University

 

Jake has played football since seventh grade and has been a three-year starter for the Clarkston Wolves. Jake secured the starting offensive left tackle position his sophomore year. In his junior and senior years he started both ways at offensive and defensive tackle. Jake was voted co-captain of the Wolves his senior year and was voted most valuable offensive lineman (the “Hog Award”) his freshman, junior and senior years. Jake has signed to play football at Saginaw Valley State University and will be pursuing a degree in finance and legal studies.

 

Jake participated in varsity basketball for two years and varsity track for three years, where he was the top shot and discus thrower his junior and senior years. He also enjoyed being part of the varsity powerlifting team his senior year qualifying for state finals. He has earned 9 varsity letters in four sports while at Clarkston High School. Jake also worked the Clarkston Football and Basketball camps and was an assistant coach with the seventh grade basketball team.

 

Jake thanked his parents for supporting him at all of his sporting events. He also thanked the entire coaching staff in the Clarkston School system, for all their help and the great memories he will be taking with him. Jake said, “I feel fortunate to have had such a great group of guys to play with over the last six years.”
