Ruhland, Ethan2008 All Star East

Ethan Ruhland
Tackle
6’5″  270 lbs.
High School Coach: Chris Bell
High School, Class: Lake Orion, A
College: Michigan State University
Ethan was a competitive swimmer with both of his brothers, but after discovering football in the fourth grade he gravitated away from the pool and onto the playing field. His size and determination distinguished him on the field, and his coaches quickly identified him as a leader both as a player and student. Head coach Chris Bell described Ethan as “everything you want in a football player. He is tough, athletic, has great size, and he’s a complete gentleman off the field.” Ethan anchored an offensive line that helped Dragon backs to average better than 5 yards per carry in 2007 and allowed only one sack during his senior season. Ethan lettered three years in football as well as in track and field (shot put), serving as a team captain in both. He was also All State in the 2007 power lifting competition.
“I give thanks to my coaches for their dedication to excellence, to my teammates for their constant commitment to each other, and to my family for supporting me in any endeavor I undertook. Without the influences that shaped and guided me I would never have attained the ability to move from high school to big ten football. I am truly blessed and forever indebted.”
