Esham started playing football at eight years old. It was easy to tell early on in little league that he loved to play the game. He played for the Junior Wolverines in Ann Arbor for six years, playing any position that his coaches asked him, FB, LB, TE, OL, and DE. Esham played four years at Ann Arbor Pioneer High School. He started on both the offensive and defensive line his junior and senior seasons. In his junior season he was voted Detroit News All West First Team, Ann Arbor News First Team, South Eastern Conference First team, and Team Offensive MVP. In his senior season he was voted team captain, Detroit News All State First Team, Ann Arbor News First Team, and South Eastern Conference First Team. Esham will play defensive line for Saginaw Valley State University.

Esham enjoys playing basketball and XBOX, hanging out with friends and family, movies and music. He also works for his uncle Muhammad at Great Plains Burger Co.
