2016 All Stars – East Team
High School, Region: Trenton, 13
High School Coach: Bob Czarnecki
College: Ferris State University
Dylan started playing football in seventh grade. As a sophomore, Dylan was a varsity starter in all nine games. As a defensive tackle, he made 3 sacs and 42 tackles. In Dylan’s junior year, he rarely left the field, playing on both sides of the line as a defensive and offensive tackle. His stats increased to 12 sacs and 74 tackles. He was also awarded All League and News Herald Dream Team honors. His senior year as a captain and defensive MVP, he led his team to a League Championship for the first time since 2006. Because his team won most games by a large margin, Dylan played only three quarters of each game while still recording 10 sacs and 84 tackles (27 of which were behind the line of scrimmage) and a Pic Six.
Dylan also participated in basketball, track, and wrestling at Trenton. Dylan was a proud four year participant in a Community Service Project called Victory Day, “an event partnering football players with mentally and physically challenged children where the kids were given an opportunity to play in a football type game. This event was an honor and privilege to be part of and an experience I will never forget.”
Dylan thanked, “God for the opportunity provided me. I thank my family for their love and support throughout my high school football years and the recruiting process, and my coaches for pushing me to be my best and acknowledging my potential. Their help has made me the player I am today.”
Next year Dylan will continue his academic and athletic career at Ferris State University where he will obtain a degree in pre-physical therapy.
