Donny is the son of Shannon and Jeff Webb. He has one sister, Logan (13), and one brother, Cam (9).
Donny began playing football in the fourth grade. In high school, Donny was a four-year varsity player. He helped lead the Olivet Eagles to playoff appearances all four years. In 2010, as a sophomore, he led them to district, regional and semi-final championships. The team finished Division 5 runners-up in 2012. Donny was a four-year starter on defense and a three-year starter on offense. He served as team captain in both his junior and senior years. He was selected defensive and offensive MVP for the Eagles in 2011 and 2012.
Donny has received many awards: He was most valuable lineman and most improved as a ninth grader. He was being named All League KVA, Battle Creek All Area and Division 5 All State in both 2011 and 2012. He also was named to the All Area Dream Team by the Lansing State Journal in 2012. Donny was number 39 on the Detroit News’ Blue Chip List, and No 28 on the MI Prep Class of 2013. He was voted defensive and offensive MVP in both his junior and senior years for the Eagles. He totaled 84 tackles, 52 solos, 12.5 sacks, and 2 fumble recoveries in 2012 and ended his career with 240 tackles (147 solos and 36 for losses).
In addition to playing football, Donny was a four-year letter winner in track and field earning most valuable shot putter in 2011 and 2012 and All League KVA honors in 2012. He also was a State Champion Heavy Weight lifter in 2011 as a sophomore.
Donny thanked his family, coaches, friends and community for “their tremendous support”. Donny has signed to play with Central Michigan University. Donny said, “I feel blessed to be able to continue to play football at the next level.”
