Deon was a four year starter at Hamady HS where he played quarterback, running back, wide receiver, outside linebacker, defensive end, and strong safety. Deon was also a two-way starter in all four of his varsity seasons. Deon helped lead the Hawks to their first ever playoff appearance in 2007 after finishing the season 7-2.
As a junior, Deon went to the state track meet in the 100, 200, 4×100, and 4×200, and won the gold in the 4×200 relay.
Deon also lettered in basketball, baseball and track at Hamady.
Deon thanked his mother, grandmother, team, the Hamady High School coaching staff, and everyone in the Westwood Heights School District for, “the guidance and support that they gave me at all times.”
Deon will continue his academic and athletic career at the University of Cincinnati.
