Danny earned three letters for the Laker football program, and was recognized as a captain twice. In his sophomore season, Danny made 48 tackles in only five games at middle linebacker. As a junior, Danny started on both sides of the ball. Playing fullback on offense he gained 836 yards, and made 102 tackles defensively. In just seven games his senior year, Danny had 130 tackles (an average of just under 19 tackles per game), with 86 solos, and blocked 9 kicks. He also had a 41.0 yard average per punt. Danny was noted as the only All State Dream Teamer who was on a non-playoff team. He was selected as team MVP.
Danny also lettered four times in baseball and is considering playing baseball at Grand Valley State.
Danny will attend Grand Valley State University on a football scholarship. He plans to go into the engineering field. Danny thanked his family, coaches and friends.
