Connor is the son of Amy Collins of Millington and Terrence Collins of Gainesville, Georgia. He is the oldest of three children with two younger sisters, Erin (16) and Alana (15).

 

Connor started playing football in junior high at the age of twelve for the Ridgeview Panthers in Round Rock, Texas. He played there as an offensive guard in seventh and eighth grade before starting his career at Stony Point High School in Round Rock, Texas as a Tiger. He played on the freshman team as an offensive tackle in ninth grade but became part of the varsity practice squad after the freshman team’s season ended. He moved up to varsity his sophomore year and earned his spot as a starter as an offensive guard for every game. He went on to make a state semi-finalist appearance with the Tigers and earn an honorable mention as an offensive lineman. They ended the season with a 13-2 record. For the next two years Connor was part of the varsity team for the Millington Cardinals to make a state semi-finalist appearance his junior year and state district round appearance his senior year. They had an 11-2 record his junior year and a 10-1 record his senior year. Connor played as an offensive tackle for the Cardinals. Connor was voted as the team’s offensive MVP and was one of five team captains his senior year. Connor was also part of the first ever, First Team All Academic recognition in the school’s history.

 

Connor also participated in two years of varsity track and field in shot put and graduated with five varsity letters. Connor was a 4.0+ GPA student ranked first in his class of 120. Connor looks forward to the responsibility of being a Division 1 collegiate student-athlete.

 

Connor said, “I would like to thank all of my family and friends for the immense amount of support they have given me and continue to give me. I give a special thanks to Coach Bearss and the rest of the Millington football coaching staff for the guidance, experiences, and knowledge they have given that have helped get me where I am. I also thank my teammates for helping me with all of my accomplishments because I couldn’t have done it without them. I also thank the Millington Booster Club and everyone else who has helped support Cardinals football.”
