Coach Rosencrants graduated from Vassar High School in 1971. He received his Bachelors Degree from Alma College and a Masters Degree from Central Michigan University.

Leo has coached for 32 years. He was an assistant coach at Alma High School and Vassar High School before stints as a head coach at Coleman High School, Fulton Public Schools, and Spring Lake High School. He is presently Defensive Coordinator at Spring Lake. His overall record is 154 wins and 131 losses.

Leo’s notable accomplishments are: 1982 Jack Pine Conference Coach of the Year, 1983 Morning Sun Coach of the Year, 1993 MHSFCA Regional Coach of the Year, Three League Championships, and induction into the MHSFCA Hall of Fame , the Alma College Hall of Fame, and the Alma College Wall of Fame.

Leo and his wife Joni, who is his biggest supporter, are both retired teachers and reside in Spring Lake. His son, Troy, attends Northern Illinois University as a graduate assistant in the Meteorology/Geography Department. His daughter, Emily, is at Central Michigan University majoring in Sports Management and Economics.
