“Everything changed when I entered high school. I began playing football in the
tenth grade at Pontiac Central where I received the rookie of the year and defensive
player of the year trophies and a varsity letter for track. While on the Denby football
team, I received trophies for participation and the Mr. Versatility Award.”
Clarence played basketball at Columbus Middle School where he received the trophy
for Top Re-bounder. He also received a trophy for participation with the Police Athletic
League of Pontiac.
Clarence thanked, “God for blessing me with this opportunity. I also thank the coaches
and staff at Denby and Pontiac Central. Thanks to all my teammates at Denby and Pontiac
Central and to my family for supporting me through the hard times and staying on
me to get things done. Thanks to everyone who helped me get better.”
