Chris played both offense and defense in high School. As a junior he earned First Team All Flint Metro League Defensive Back and Second Team Wide Receiver. He also received First Team All Tri-County Defensive Back. During his senior year, he received First Team All Flint Metro League Wide Receiver and Defensive Back. He was selected for this unanimously. Again he earned the All Tri-County Defensive Back and Wide Receiver as a senior. He received The Flint Journal’s All-Area Team for Wide Receiver. Chris received All-State Honorable Mention, Wide Receiver. He received the Old Spice Red Zone Player of the Year Award. Chris set a school record with twelve receiving touchdowns during his senior year.

Chris was a captain of the football team during his senior year. His team had a 9-0 season. This was the first time in school history since the early 50’s that this record had been achieved. Five of the nine games they produced were shut outs. This was a Flint Metro League record. At Linden High School, Chris was on the Honor Roll for all four years. He also participated and won awards in track his first three years.

Chris thanked all of his family and friends for their support. He thanked his coaches for doing “everything they possibly could to get me to a good college.” He also gave special thanks to his teammates, “I could not have accomplished what I have without them.” Last but not least, he thanked his best friend ELLER, “for always being there.”
