Christopher is the son of Bernadette Henley. He has two siblings, Jalen (14) and Natasia (12).

Chris has loved the game of football his entire life and before even stepping on the field he had high expectations for himself. Chris was a four-year varsity football starter for the Union City Chargers and was coached all four years by his grandpa, Eric Tundevold. In addition to playing safety, he has also played the running back position. Chris broke multiple conference records: most rushing yards 3,276, most touch downs scored 53, most points scored 328, and the best rushing average of 12.1 yards per carry. His senior year he was the league’s MVP and earned All State Honors at the running back position.

Chris also ran track for four years. He was a three time state champion in 2011 in the 100, 200 and long jump. He also was a part of two record breaking relay teams.

Chris thanked his family and friends for “all their support throughout the past four years.” He thanked his coaches “for pushing me above and beyond my own expectations and for being strong role models.” He also thanked his teammates for “making this time one to remember forever and helping me play well and become a better player everyday I stepped on the field.”

Chris will attend the University of Michigan on a track scholarship.
