Chris considers his dad as his role model. “My Dad has always been in my corner, pushing me and encouraging me. He is the man I most admire and hope to be like. My Mom and Dad have attended every game, activity, or program I have ever been in. They are my biggest fans.”

Chris began playing T-ball at the age of four, and continued to play baseball until he fell in love with playing football while attending Abbott middle school. However, once Chris picked up the pigskin, he could not put it down. Football became his favorite sport and he hopes to continue playing in college. As a senior at West Bloomfield High School, Chris was the starting wide receiver and earned several honors including being named best wide receiver at West Bloomfield HS as a sophomore. However he said, “I consider being chosen to play in the 2009 All Star Game my highest honor.”

Chris also played basketball and had a season high score of 248 points in his senior year. Chris won the MVP trophy at the MLK Classic on Jan. 18, 2009. He played AAU basketball every year and played with Team Michigan and Southfield Transition which finished with a 10th place in national competition.

Chris first thanked “God for all my blessings.” He thanked, “my biggest fans, my Mom, Dad, and sisters. He also thanked his grandmothers, “Sweets and Grandma Dot, Preach, Tiny, uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.” He included a “special thanks to the West Bloomfield Pigskin club, Coaches Jim Thomas, Jamie Thomas, D-Red, Golston, White, Blake, Waits, Rys, Kopec, Evans, Watson, Dwayne Jones, Mr. Pyles, my teammates, all the football parents, and anyone else who has supported me to make me the person I am today.”
