Cameron began his football career in the Clare Rocket program coached by John Green. His freshman coach was Pete Eberhart, and during his JV year he was coached by Dan Haggart. Cam began his career as a lineman and never changed. During his two year varsity stint, Cam was coached by head coach Kelly Luplow and assistant coach/defensive coordinator Doug Haggart. His junior year he received his team’s Ironman Award and was voted the team’s most valuable lineman and was awarded the Bob Krainik Award his senior year. He intercepted two passes his senior year, one of which he returned for a touchdown. Cameron will attend Michigan Technological University on football and academic scholarships.

In addition to football, Cameron played four years of basketball and four years of baseball, earning a varsity letter his junior and senior years in both sports. He was co-captain of his basketball team as a senior. Cam was a two-year member of the National Honor Society, was in Science Honor Society his senior year, and was in Clare’s band his freshman year.
Cameron thanked, “My parents, relatives, friends, and community members for proudly supporting our team every single game.” He also thanked, “Coaches Luplow, Haggart (Big Haggs), Grove, Wise, Haggart (Little Haggs), Laverty, Eberhart, and Bigby for all of their great coaching and support throughout my career.” He gave a “special thanks to Coach Luplow and Coach Haggart (Big Haggs) for their support throughout the recruiting process.” Cameron also thanked athletic trainer, Rick Taylor, “for keeping me and my teammates healthy throughout the season,” and equipment manager, Jim Grove, “for keeping all of our equipment in tip top shape.” He was also, “especially thankful to all of the parents for their outstanding team dinners throughout the season.” He ended by thanking, “everyone for their continued support. I couldn’t have done this by myself.”
