Cam was a four-year, two-way varsity starter. He was elected as a co-captain both his junior and senior years. Cameron played halfback, “hawk,” punter, punt returner, and kick returner. His favorite was halfback. He ended his high school career with 5,405 yards, placing him seventh in the state records. He scored 89 rushing touchdowns, making him second overall in the state.

Cameron also was a four year starter on the varsity basketball team and was a key factor in helping the Eagles maintain a 28-0 record and bring home the 2005 Class C State Championship. He earned First Team All State honors for his efforts. He also ran track his freshman and sophomore years and as a sophomore, qualified for the state meet as a member of the 800 relay.

Cam will attend Central Michigan University on a football scholarship.

Cameron thanked, “God, first, for all the blessings he has given me, and because without him, all of this would not be possible. I thank my parents and brothers; grandparents, Laurel and Eleanor Mott; my coaches, Dean Peters and Robert Burcaw, and my teammates. I also thank the school and community for their continued support and encouragement throughout my high school career.
