Callan played varsity football for four years, three of those years as a starter. He had a “glorious career on both sides of the ball,” playing wide receiver and defensive back. He led the team in interceptions three years in a row and receptions two years in row. Callan helped lead the Rams to two Division 1 State Championships at the Silver Dome as well as Ford Field and one Division 1 State Runner-Up. Callan was voted MVP by his teammates for both his junior and senior years and was voted co-captain in his senior year.
Callan also participated in track and field.
Callan thanked his family, friends and the Rockford community as well as his coaching staff for, “all the support I have received on and off the field during my high school career. I am honored and grateful to represent the Rockford Rams in the 27th Annual All Star Game.”
