Caleb Wisniski is the son of Jeffrey and Heidi Wisniski. Caleb has one older sister, Tara, who is 27 and two younger sisters, Chloe (15) and Sophia (12). Caleb is surrounded by his family who are his greatest fans including his grandparents who follow every game and his aunts, uncles and cousins who follow almost as closely.

Caleb started playing football at age eight with the Pop Warner program. Caleb and his teammates took their team to the playoffs the past two years. Caleb’s hard work and dedication earned him a starting spot on both offense and defense starting his sophomore year. He was named First Team All Conference lineman on both offense and defense for three years. He earned All State first team accolades for offensive lineman for two years in a row.  He was also chosen for the Traverse City Record Eagle Dream Team this year.

Caleb was very dedicated to the football program on and off the field. He volunteered with his school’s Pop Warner program, helping as a mentor and camp counselor He announced for both Onekama Pop Warner football games and Onekama Middle School games. Caleb was a multi-sport athlete in basketball he started on the varsity team since he was a sophomore. He received All Conference Honorable Mention his sophomore and junior years and All Conference Second Team his senior year. In baseball his team won a District championship and earned Academic All Conference his junior year. Caleb was also a member of the golf team for two years and threw shot put and discus for the track team. Caleb was a member of the National Honor Society, volunteered at the local food pantry and was a peer-to-peer mentor for an autistic student. He was also active in 4-H and volunteered with the Onekama Athletic Boosters and the Onekama Township spring clean up day. 

Caleb thanked his parents “for pushing me to be the best”. He also thanked his “grandparents, uncles, and aunts, who never missed a chance to come see him play and cheer him on.” He thanked, “Jerry Brown and Greg Sherwin for helping with workouts and offensive line drills in the off season.” Lastly, Caleb thanked his teammates, “who got just as close as family throughout all the years we played together.” Caleb will play football for Ferris State University where he will enter the Welding Engineering program in the Fall 2016.
