Bruce, Jr is the youngest son of Bruce and Geodi Hall. His brother, Douglas (25), is a graduate of Ferris State University.

Bruce’s primary focus during his freshman and sophomore years was his academics. In his junior year, with some convincing from Head Coach Farley and Offensive Line Coach George Manson, Bruce made the decision to play varsity ball. He shared the left tackle position with senior, Dalton Cardwell. At the end of his junior season, Bruce stood 6’3″ and weighed 215 pounds. As a senior, he took the field at 6’4″ 250 pounds. Bruce’s ultimate goal was achieved when he accepted an offer from Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, where he’ll attend in the fall of 2013.

In addition to Bruce’s football interests, he wrestled during his junior and senior years. He held the position of Class President for four years and Student Council President during his senior year. He was a member of the National Honor Society, PALS, and SADD. He became a member of The National Society of High School Scholars (NSHSS) after attending a summer leadership program at Harvard University where he earned the Outstanding Academic Achievement award. During the summer of his sophomore year, he was selected to attend the National Student Leadership Conference Entrepreneurship and Business program at Fordham University in New York City, where he led his team to win the Business Simulation Competition.

Bruce said, “No one achieves success alone. Reflecting on my achievements, I would like to thank my family for their support, my trainer, Josh Gibbs, for teaching me the benefits of dedication, my football coaches for their faith in me, my Leslie High School Varsity Football teammates, and Coach Darrell Funk of The University of Michigan for the knowledge he instilled in me.”
