Brett was a three year starter for the Panthers of Alma. Brett played running back his sophomore year and defensive back and running back both his junior and senior years. Brett was voted the Most Valuable Player his senior year. Brett broke the Alma High School rushing record, accumulating 3,422 yards with 91 yards per carry in his career. Brett was recognized by the Detroit Lions organization as one of their “Tremendous 26” in 2003.

Brett excelled in academics, with a 3.92 grade point average. He won ten letters in Alma varsity sports where he played three years varsity football, three years varsity basketball, and four years varsity track. Brett qualified for the Class B State Finals in Track in the 1600 meter relay, 400 meter and 200 meter dashes. He has accepted an athletic scholarship to play football this fall for the Hillsdale Chargers and intends to go into the field of Health Science.

Brett thanked his family, friends and coaches for all their encouragement and support. “Special thanks to Coach Ing and my dad for believing in me and pushing me to be the best.”
