Baquer started playing football in eighth grade for the Dearborn Lions.  As a freshman at Fordson he was asset to the junior varsity team where he played wide-receiver. His sophomore year  he was placed on the varsity team where his success continued.  As a junior, Baquer broke three records for the team: the most receptions, receiving years and touchdowns for a wide-receiver. The team finished the season 13-1 the best record in school history.  The same year, Baquer was given numerous recognition as he was named All City, All League First Team, All Metro West, and an All State Honorable Mention.  In his senior year, as a captain, he showed his versatility by playing a number of positions which included wide-receiver, defensive back, punter, punt returner and other special teams positions.  The Tractors finished with a 9-1 record with Baquer accumulating nearly 2,000 receiving yards, 70 receptions and 25 touchdowns.  He was later named All State Second Team for receiving.

Baquer has thanked all of his family members, friends, teammates, and coaches for their support with his sporting career.  “Most importantly I thank my parents, Nasri and Nouhad, for everything they’ve done for me.  I also thank my brothers: Sharif, Hashem, Ali, Naser and Nedal, and my sisters: Mallak, Marwa and Fatimah. The coaching staff I’ve worked with has been phenomenal. I give thanks to Coach Zaban, Coach Delgiudice, Coach Powell, Coach Gordon, Coach Guy, Coach Doug, Coach Saad, Coach Ozzman, Coach Bazzy, Coach Bazzi, Coach Tapp, Coach Mo Hamad, Coach Silver, Coach Maher and Coach Sabbagh for helping me realize my potential and showing me how to set my goals higher than my expectations.  Lastly, I thank the Fordson Booster Club, teachers, counselors, and principal for guiding me in the right direction and keeping me on track with my school work.”
