Anthony played two years of high school football at Detroit Urban Lutheran. He didn’t play in ninth or tenth grades because he was a transfer student. As a junior, Anthony was nominated All Catholic and as a senior he received All Catholic and All State.
Anthony also played baseball and basketball as a junior and as a senior. He said, “I have always been active in all sports. In the summers I participate in some sort of AAU team for basketball. I do this to make sure I stay in shape.”
Anthony thanked his mother and father for, “always being there to support me in everything I have done. It means a lot to see your parents’ faces in the stands cheering you on whether you are losing or winning. They have always wanted me to just do the best that I could do.” He also thanked, “my numerous coaches, who have made sure I know the meaning of hard work and dedication.”
