Anthony started playing the “great game of football” when he was in seventh grade when he played for BYF (Brighton Youth Football). At Catholic Central High School he played freshmen football and as a sophomore he was moved up to varsity. He played in his first varsity game during the second game of his sophomore year. From that game on he started at outside linebacker and tailback. In his junior and senior seasons the Shamrocks made it to the state finals but fell short to very good Cass Tech football teams both years. Anthony said, “Overall I had a great high school football experience at Catholic Central. I wouldn’t ever change it.”

Anthony also played freshmen lacrosse in high school and ran track his sophomore year. He also was “very involved with helping out around the school, and attended FCA meetings every Wednesday morning.”

Anthony thanked,  “God for giving me the opportunity to play the great game of football. “He thanked his parents, “Jo Jo and Big Ton. They are the best parents I could ever ask for.” He thanked, “all the coaches that I had over the years and everyone who has helped me succeed in life and sports.”
